The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Psalm 110:4
What a blessing to know that our High Priest is not after the order of Aaron. For Aaron's priesthood was a shadow, a figure of the work of Christ upon the earth.
Our High Priest is eternal and is our Lord and He knew we needed something more then the priesthood of Aaron.
The glory and majesty of Christ’s Priesthood lies in the truth that He rendered the veil and entered in for us. He is now seated in God imparting unto His children the powers of the heavenly life. He now has made a way in that we have been baptized into Him by water baptism and as our High Priest He is able to continually intercede on our behalf in the power of an endless Life.
As sons of God, we need to count upon Jesus to work in us the power of His life for He is able to impart His Life to us for He is our High Priest.
His resurrection and ascension power can be given unto us, for the cross has pardon us of our sin and His right hand gives us the power over sin and death.
We have been delivered from the world and all its desires by the blood of the Son of God.
Our High Priest who is our King has given us the victory over our enemies and He brings us into our heavenly rest.
Where our High Priest abideth continually making intercession for us.
The soul that hungers and thirsts after the Lord will not seek the foundation, but will rest upon it and it alone. For the soul will be built up into Jesus, the exalted and perfect one, that will deliver any from ineffectiveness and reveal unto them the power of the His Life.
The closer we draw to Him and worship Him as our blessed King-Priest the stronger will our confidence become. For it is His divine power that He will impart to us that we will produce a Life bearing fruit unto Him.
The closer we draw into the holy of holiest the closer we are to Him.
