Shebna or Eliakin?

Scripture reference Isaiah 22.

Shebna represents the authority of the old man, the carnal mind, and all the old religious systems of man.

Eliakim was called of God to replace Shebna for Eliakim represents the bondslave of the Lord, one who had an ear to hear what the Lord says, and a heart to obey His word and do all His will.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants (bondslave) things which must shortly come to pass;  ... Revelation 1:1

God does not, nor will He call or use a Shebna type for that type has only its self to improve.

For Shebna was living in ease and splendor while all the trouble was going on, heedless to the problems that were piling up. Just as many today live a life satisfying to the flesh all the while thinking they are doing God’s will.

Shebna abused his authority and spent the king’s money on useless things. For he built for himself a sepulcher.

Now we must not look at the sepulcher with the carnal mind but in the Spirit.

The sepulcher was Shebna building up of self, just as many are today. Presumptuous men that love the esteem place, and high praises of men. Sitting in seats that show themselves to be of great importance, rather than down with the servants.

Makes me wonder why so many struggle with the book of Revelations ..... maybe they need to be as Eliakim rather than Shebna.

Now lets look at the Shebna that Jesus faced and read what He called them ---->Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Matt 23:27-33

The Lord has taken ALL authority and power from the Shebna and has given it unto Eliakim. For Eliakim is a type of Christ in heart and mind.

See Eliakim means "God raises up." AND YES! God can raise up the government of His kingdom in the hearts of His called and chosen elect, and this He does sovereignty by His Spirit. His kingdom is one of Spiritual administration, not a democratic organization as most religions are today.

Now let the one’s called see what God will is for them -->For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to "think of himself more highly" than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:3-8
