Cursed

"Cursed are you more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; ON YOUR BELLY SHALL YOU GO and DUST SHALL YOU EAT all the days of your life" Genesis 3:14

We see that the serpent was cursed to dwell in the realm of the earth, and to consume DUST as the sole staple of his diet.

Now, lets not look at this with a carnal mind for we all know that snakes do not eat dust today. See we must understand with the mind of the Christ, that this is not speaking of a literal reptile composed of flesh and scales, but of a reality in the spiritual dimension of which the serpent is but a figure.

See dust speaks of that which is earthy, natural and carnal in nature. It is a position that has a serpent on his belly eating the dust of the earth rather then enjoying the bread of Life and the quenching water of the Spirit.

"Cursed is THE GROUND because of you; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life...By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you RETURN TO THE GROUND, because FROM IT YOU WERE TAKEN; FOR YOU ARE DUST, and to DUST you shall return" Genesis 3:17-19

The first man is of the earth, earthy: … 1Corinthians 15:47
YES Adam was an earthy man, taken out of the ground and destined to return thereto, signifying his NATURE.

Adam was but but DUST! For "the Lord God formed man of the DUST OF THE GROUND" Genesis 2:7

Now we see the curse up the serpent and his realm of dominion. The serpent was cursed to crawl upon the very ground from which Adam was taken, the very origin of man's carnal form, the very NATURE with which he was made with.

See the serpent was commanded by God to inhabit the realm of the natural man, to make his sphere of activity the same lowly, earthy, natural plane in which man would also abide all the days of his life.

The very dust the serpent was cursed to eat was but the dust Adam was made from!

The very diet of the serpent is but that of carnal man.

"That which proceeds OUT OF THE MAN, that is what defiles the man. For FROM WITHIN, OUT OF THE HEART OF MEN, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and WICKEDNESS, as well as DECEIT, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evils proceed FROM WITHIN and defile the man" Mark 7:20-23

Reading and seeing the Words of Jesus Christ one sees the realm of the serpent is within man and that realm is but the heart of man.

"The HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, and DESPERATELY WICKED: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9

The word serpent is from the Hebrew root ‘nachash', which means to hiss or whisper. It also carries the meaning "to diligently observe, learn by experience, to practice divination, enchantments, and incantations."

The serpent, therefore, is a HISSER, a WHISPERER, an ENCHANTER, an enlightener, the illuminator and instructor of men, the SATAN.

When one sees the serpent within that one will know what true repentance is and will know what it means to walk in the Spirit.

Brother James shows us this serpent within when he by the Holy Spirit penned these words ….'But every man is tempted when he is drawn away OF HIS OWN DESIRE (lust) and enticed. Then when DESIRE hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death' James 1:14,15

Was it a THOUGHT, a DESIRE, a command from an INNER NATURE?

Did a whisper of lust ARISE FROM THE DUST OF THE CARNAL MIND, OUT OF THE GROUND OF THE ADAM NATURE where the serpent lies to led that one to sin?

YES! For EVERY MAN is tempted; not by some outside influence, not by some evil angel sitting on his shoulder, but when he is drawn away OF HIS OWN DESIRE!

MY MY MY for so long many played the blaming game when in truth sin arises from within and brings death to them that serve it.

This serpent has its home in the GARDEN OF GOD!

The heart of man was but the ground where the seed of Life was to be planted but instead Adam allowed the subtile lie to be planted.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

When one sees Truth one will understand the parable of the sower and that one will be born again of the “incorruptible word.”

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23
