Journey of the Soul 2

The Journey of the Soul by Des Walter INTRODUCTION The question of man’s IDENTITY is one of the stumbling blocks keeping us from enjoying life as God intended. It is no secret that everyone of us develops our own sense of identity, out of which we actually live our lives. The problem is that the information we use to arrive at our understanding of ourselves quite often is incorrect, so that what we believe we are, can create further difficulties for us. Many Christians seek to discover themselves, based upon inflexible religious notions, that produce a "faith" which cannot stand the test of living proof, and so our anxiety and uncertainty increases. It was Billy Graham who used to quote many times in his preaching, that within MAN there is a GOD SHAPED BLANK, and only GOD can fill it!! Ever since Adam found himself outside the Garden of Eden, mankind has been searching to discover himself and to find his way back. Eastern religion has seen a renaissance in recent years beca

Ornament

"ornaments" hmmmmmmmmm what a word. How many of us have our ornament that we refuse to take off. See its not what you look like but its what you see yourSELF look like. Our biggest ornament is our SELF. Ohhhhhhhh how we love to cater to it and puff it up. Look at my hair, my eyes, ohhhhhhhhhhh my, MY teeth are just heavenly white. Don't I dress like I follow the latest trend! Ohhhhhhhhhh my my hair it has much done to it so when I walk by you notice it. What of the ornament we can't show others but we can act like it. Look at me I KNOW all about this world. Look at me I KNOW it all. ornament .... ornament is but the vanity that SELF IS! Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. Job 35:13 VANITY IS BUT OUR ORNAMENT OF SELF WE BRING TO HIM THINKING HE WILL DO AS WE ASK! Until you see the ornament of self and lay it down you will NEVER hear His voice! For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked peopl

Treess in the Garden 3

QUOTE = Some would say that the good in man, having been corrupted by the fall, has lost its element of goodness. This is altogether inaccurate. The truth of this can be seen in the very ingredients in the fall! When Adam sinned, of which tree did he eat? Why, the tree of the “knowledge of GOOD and EVIL.” Hear this! The elements of that tree were not only the elements of evil; they were the elements producing a knowledge of both GOOD and EVIL! The tree ministered to man a KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD as truly as it ministered to him a KNOWLEDGE OF EVIL. Thus, the fall of man introduced him to a realm of duality, of admixture; good and evil. The fallen man is both good and evil. How prone we have been to declare the unregenerated man to be ONLY EVIL! It is true that the element of evil in man PREDOMINATES in the natural man, but we cannot say that the good in man has been corrupted to the point of non-existence. It is for this reason that the philosophers and psychologists have discovered that wi

Tress in the Garden 2

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9 Progressive revelation of Him who was to come ..... tree of life Adam was formed by the tree of life, the very Word of God. We have been birth by flesh and blood and so we need to be born again to partake with the tree of life. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6 Adam lived as a living soul in the realm of his consciousness of the Word of life. Adam had fellowship within his soul for darkness had not taken its hold. He had total communion with the Father in his soul! And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8 Not sure about you but I have never heard a voi

Trees in the Garden 1

QUOTE = One day Satan came disguised as a snake and spoke to Eve, convincing her to eat the fruit from the tree of good and evil. Eve told the serpent that God said they should not eat it and they would die if they did, but Satan tempted Eve to eat saying that she would become like God if she did. Eve believed the lie and took a bite of the fruit. She then gave some to Adam for him to eat. Adam and Eve, now knowing that they had sinned, immediately felt ashamed and tried to hide from God. ---END OF QUOTE. A fable, make believe? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh it is easy now to think that after reading the above quote but before the light of His Word I pretty well taught that. A angel so awesome that he was God's right hand angel but one day the created angel said "Gosh I can be God." So he gathered up 1/3 of the other angels and went to get his throne from the one who created him. Yes sir there was a big war in heaven (up there in the sky somewhere) God sent His chief army angel to fight

Understanding 02

The Holy Spirit been showing me that understanding is NOT given to the Church as a gift, but it is given to the head of His body. The body receives the Spirit of understanding for the Spirit flows from the head down the beard all the way to the toes! “Wisdom is the principle thing,” said Solomon; “therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting, GET UNDERSTANDING” Prov 4:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” Prov 9:10 “It is sport to a fool to do mischief, but a man of UNDERSTANDING hath wisdom” Prov 10:23 “It is better to get wisdom than gold, and understanding is rather to be chosen than choice silver” Prov 16:16 “Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it” Prov 16:22 Such glory to behold that understanding is a wellspring of LIFE"! The one that has the Spirit of understanding is the regenerated son of God but them who are not born again "... walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understan
