Smell

Christ Jesus was not walking after the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We can see that when He was confronted by issues that required of Him the Word of God.

"...a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment." Ecc 8:5

Only BABYLON builds a wall of creed and doctrines based upon what she sees and she holds it up before the eyes of all.

That is not what Christ Jesus came to do!

But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. John 2:24, 25

Ohhhhhh don't get me wrong Truth is needed for one to be MADE free .... However, taking verses out of the bible and forming creeds and dogmas based upon man's carnal mind is man acting like God and speaking on behalf of self.

See, Christ Jesus was able to discern people regardless of the external appearance many used to judge that person.

Ask yourself "Do you judge by what you see? or "Do you judge by discernment?"

As a cook my nose has as much a role in cooking as my eyes and mouth. For with my nose I able to smell if the product is good or bad. My nose doesn't judge the product on sight but on smell.

Thinking like that look at this verse ---->But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

SENSES EXERCISED!

Strong meat, the very Deep of God will come unto them that are MATURE in that they don't use it for their own glory or self gain but for the Kingdom of God. This mature son of God will have his organ of perception EXERCISED!

EXERCISED = train, of one who strives earnestly to become godly.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: … Eph 4:15

By speaking the truth IN LOVE from the tree of Life that one will GROW UP into him in ALL THINGS. They will have by Truth and love their senses exercised in Him and not what they know as good and evil.

This is not an over night learning experience nor is it a one time amen. For Paul said “by reason of use” that is showing us we need to grow in this by use. Ohhhhhhh we can fail and yea we stumble but that is the sign of one growing!

The mature ones that ones that grow up in Him have been learning through situations in life to exercises their senses for truth sake rather than self sake.

It is by experience to discern, what is profitable and unprofitable by truth speaking from love within.

Jesus smelled the stench in the lives and hearts of the Pharisees. Their legalistic morality, drifting through the air behind their Scripture-quoting words. His senses knew the aroma of death in them for He said “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every impurity.”

Something very dead was lying behind the white-washed walls of their religious lives.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The word of God is QUICK, POWERFUL, SHARPER …. Piercing and dividing the soul and spirit and is a DISCERNER of the THOUGHTS and INTENTS OF THE HEART!

When one has had the word change them, that one with His discernment shall speak the word and the word will do as it is …..

For the word of God “is the spirit of prophecy” and manifest what is unseen, what is hidden.

For it can smell the evil hiding behind good; for it does not judge by the appearance of things. It judges righteous judgment.

For they that judge by the letter only shows themselves to be carnal and as so use the word of God unskillfully.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:12-14
