One or More Resurrections? 02

The beloved John the Apostle and disciple of Jesus wrote what the Spirit showed him concerning the “first resurrection.” And if its called the first there sure is another to follow in some age to come. However, let us look at this “first resurrection.”

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:4-6

We can see in Revelation 20 verse 5 John tells us specifically that “the rest of the dead” would remain dead for a thousand years AFTER the first resurrection. John does not disclose who “the rest of the dead” are, but John does make it clear that those who are raised in this first resurrection are believers in Christ. For John calls them “blessed and holy,” and they are the “priests of God and of Christ,” called to reign during the thousand years. I know these ones have the revelation of who they are and not because some Pastor told them or a church but the Father Himself called them and showed them!

We also can see that no unbelievers are raised in this first resurrection!

John is referring to a Christ' bodily resurrection from the dead, NOT one’s justification by faith, or going to heaven, as taught by many. For John knew of the false teaching that he called antichrist that had enter the churches and deceived many.

When one continues to read Revelation 20, one can see the second resurrection that includes ALL the dead who were not raised in the first resurrection.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Yes! John writes of the second resurrection which is indeed the great judgment, at which time just and unjust will be judged who were not raised in the first resurrection.

Now there is a ugly teaching on the two books that are opened. Time the sons learn that one book has the names of them that have had their sins washed away by the blood of the lamb and the other book had the names of them that had NOT been washed in the blood of the lamb. These two books are not as many say going to save some from a eternal lake of fire and send others into that lake. That is just MYSTERY BABYLON and her harlot lies!

See many teach that God keeps a book on each person in the world and what they do. GOSH, this really misses the truth that these are the books of the Law, by which all sin is judged.

See the beloved John tells us that “sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4), and the Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit adds, “where there is no law, neither is there violation” (Romans 4:15). So we must know AND SEE the Law of God is what defines sin and righteousness. It is His divine standard by which the works of men are judged. And let me tell you without a law, there is no crime committed. So, the Law is what God uses to judge humanity for sin, or as the Apostle Paul puts it, “the law brings about wrath” (Romans 4:15).

Pssssst, I by faith am IN Christ and under grace no longer under the law of sin and death BUT the law of LIFE!

Bless the Lord. Let us stop, think and look. If only nonbelievers are standing before the throne of judgement why is the book of life opened? hmmmmmmmmm So the Holy Spirit is pointing something out here for us to see and KNOW!

".... And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books."

So what dead are judged out of the "the book of life?" Come on now the nonbeliever is judged out of one book and the .... is judged from the other book. So hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So what if the Christians and non Christians are standing before the throne of judgement? And both groups are judged by both books!

Come on now! For many are called, but few are chosen.

For ye see your CALLING, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath CHOSEN the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God CHOSEN, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

God has always done the calling NEVER HAS THAT BE LEFT WITH ANY PERSON BUT Him! Just say a prayer and poof you are a son of God, just get baptized and poof you are a son of God. WOW .... How merciful is our God!

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Romans 9:18

So it is plain that some Christians will indeed stand before God at this judgment, and John by the Holy Spirit tells us that only those NOT found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. Again why two books? Yes! For two different groups.

However if you are like me you can't base truth off one verse, one chapter! You like me would desire more verses to back up what the Lord is and has said! Let us find this two group judgement in the Bible.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:28, 29

One group that have done good and another group that have done evil. The "resurrection of life" and the "resurrection of damnation." Sure looks like two groups and blessed are they that partake in the FIRST resurrection FOR THEY SHALL BE PRIESTS UNTO GOD AND HIS CHRIST!

Bless God for the hidden manna that the golden cherubim are allowed to see!

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2

Neither Daniel by the Holy Spirit or Jesus was referring to the FIRST RESURRECTION, BUT THE SECOND!

So it surely is clear that at the great white throne the believers are found written in the book of life, while the unbelievers, or evildoers, are judged out of the law. Them that partake in the FIRST RESURRECTION are the priests unto God and the Christ. They stand not in judgment for they have had ALL their sins washed away by the blood of the lamb and are His adopted sons!

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the LAW and in the PROPHETS: And have HOPE toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the JUST and UNJUST. Act 24:14,15

Does not the Apostle Paul BY THE HOLY SPIRIT speak of a resurrection in which both “the just and the unjust” are raised.

AGAIN "....Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, ..."

Only the BLESSED AND HOLY arise in this first resurrection! The JUST and UNJUST are in the SECOND!

So we can see that those raised in the first will reign with Christ for a thousand years; the others will miss this, yet will receive life (immortality) at that later time.

Them that have an ear to hear will be the ones in the first resurrection ... the OVERCOMERS! For the Scriptures makes a distinction between the Overcomers and the Church in general.

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks (churches) one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Revelation 1:13
