Balaam

 In Micah 6 is a warning--->O my people, REMEMBER now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

So this character of Balaam must be avoided .... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Balaam is a lesson for Father’s called and chosen people!

Balaam was a Midianite, from the same country where Moses was married and lived.

Now Balaam was not a false prophet for the king of Moab sent for him to curse the Israelites. The king of Moab was afraid the Israelites would conquer his kingdom from him. Now Balaam hears what the king of Moab wants and when Balaam goes to Father, Father tells him not to curse Israel.

You know it should have ended there BUT, the king of Moab must have known of Balaam weakness, his character flaw. See the king of Moab offers Balaam a cabinet position in his government! Balaam will be one of his closest advisors, and the king would obey all the counsel Balaam gives him!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh you know the pride of self is a easy target if one has not allowed the Word of life to conquer it!

Balaam in subtileness sowed a seed of suggestion into the mind of the king of Moab.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh some might think ...... Ahhhhhhhhhh beware that serpent is very crafty!

I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Cor 11:3

See Balaam change the subject, and instead of referring to the high position King Balak offered him, his suggests that should Balak give him his “house full of silver and gold” he still could not go beyond the word of the Lord?

Why would Balaam say that? Because it is what he wanted! Why mention it, if you’re not thinking about it?

See the one not walking in the mind of Christ will have the thoughts that turn the heart to walk not in the law (life) of the LORD.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jer 17:9

What Balaam says only shows he is a "covetous man."

“Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the Lord will say unto me more.” Num 22:19

WOW .... why did Balaam say that? He has already had the word of the Lord! He had already given his answer! So why does he say in effect, “Wait here tonight, and I’ll go to Father again to see if He has changed his mind!”

Can we not see the subtlety? As soon as he planted the idea of gold and silver, he announced that he would go back and inquire of the Lord once more, if perchance He might have changed His mind!

Without the mind of Christ one only abides in a mind that is "....subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made."

And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do. Num 22:20

Some might say Father changed His mind but I tell you Father only gave Balaam enough rope to go out and hang himself.

Let me tell you YOU cannot out smart Father--->You cannot fool God, so don't make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant. Gal 6:7

Time to see that when we demand our way over the wisdom of His way, Father will let us have our way and we will reap the folly of it!

So many speak as if Father is a puppy on their lease and He must jump when they say jump. There are certain things that you can keep nagging Father about which He’ll permit you to do. But, I tell you, you’ll dry up spiritually!

So he gave them what they asked for, but he sent a plague along with it. Psalm 106:15

The idea that we can ask anything our carnal heart desires and Father is obligated to give it to us is a half-truth. Oh, yes, He will give you what you demand of Him, but that doesn’t mean it is good for you, or that it conforms to His best and highest for you.

I recall coming upon the prosperity message many years ago. Ohhhhhhhh man I tell you I was so pumped and believed that what ever I asked Father He would give it to me. Yes my sugar daddy in the sky.

One day I came across a van and I wanted it so I laid hands on it and told Father its mine by faith and that I will receive it. Well, down the road the van was not mine and I was grieved. So I asked Father "WHY" Father answered me back "That prosperity teaching is not of me!"

I repented from that teaching!

However how many ask for deliverance out of every problem and trial? Or do they want to learn the lessons God is teaching Them, that they may grow up into the stature of Christ?

Does the heart say 'Thy will be done', or do one want Father to come over to their side and do what they want done?

I know He gives enough rope to show the folly of one's soul!

Ask Judas. See a Judas is one that betrays the Christ for selfish gains!

Hear the words of Peter again as he evaluates this man. “Who have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the WAGES of unrighteousness: but was rebuked for his iniquity; the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbade the madness of the prophet” II Pet. 2:15,16

Deep calleth unto deep for the “wages” of unrighteousness are the money people receive by departing from the perfect will and plan of God to accommodate people from whom they can profit by pleasing them.

Some of the most money covetous people I have met are in the Lord’s work!

Know and see that Balaam had a message from Father, but he was covetous! Grasp it .... Father spoke unto one whose heart was filled with covetous!

But that's just the surface of this one called Balaam. Time we see the ERROR of Balaam.

“Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and run greedily after the error of Balaam for reward...” Jude 11

YES one can RUN GREEDILY AFTER THE ERROR OF Balaam and think Father is using them, blessing them. Time to wake up and see that the ERROR of Balaam was in DEPARTING from the will of the Lord!

Now Balaam HEARD what the will of Father's was BUT HE REJECTED IT FOR COVETOUS SAKE!

How many hear the message of birthing the Christ but REJECT it because of the SELF?

See Balaam prophesied out of the Spirit of the Lord, BUT Balaam taught out of who he was!

Put it this way .... ALL TALKIE TALKIE NO WALKIE WALKIE!

Balaam character spoke more to king Balak for the word of the Lord was in his mouth, but carnality, deceptiveness, greed, and rebellion was in his heart.

In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed. 2 Peter 2:3

That is the ERROR of Ballam and let me tell you it is most if they PUT NOT ON Christ!

So Father has shown us Balaam who loved the WAGES of unrighteousness, and the error of Balaam. Let us by Father see the DOCTRINE of Balaam.

“But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who TAUGHT Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, TO EAT things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit FORNICATION.” Rev 2:14

So in a nut shell, Balaam would not out-right curse Israel, but he says something like this to King Balak. “Now, I can’t curse them, but I can tell you how to destroy them. You go down and join them. Get the good-looking women of Moab to go down to the camp and get acquainted. The Israelite men will find the Moabite women attractive, and will commit whoredoms with them. Some of them will love your women so much they will marry them! Your women will be so beautiful, so sensuous, so enticing, so caring and loving, that the Israelite men will do anything for them. They will yield to your customs, they will compromise with your gods, they will adopt your traditions, they will pollute their worship of the LORD, they will commit trespass against the LORD, and the LORD will no longer fight for them.

Look, these women caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to turn unfaithfully against the LORD .... Numbers 31:16

With fornication came idolatry into the camp of Israel!

Now we see that the DOCTRINE of Balaam was the doctrine and method to corrupt a people who couldn’t be cursed!

It was a doctrine of not doing Father's will ... but a doctrine of fornication with the BODY!

The doctrine of Balaam is union with the fleshly ways of the carnal mind instead of a pure walk in the Spirit and by the Spirit.

It is a doctrine of one must increase and the LORD decrease.

Them without can't do us any harm, but I tell you the Lord’s called and chosen people can only be corrupted from within!

Wolves IN sheep clothing ..... Give your heart to Jesus, say a sinners prayer, get water baptized. On and on the list goes and all that is happening is the man of sin still sits upon Father's throne.

You see you were bought with a price and your body IS NOT YOUR OWN! It is Fathers!

However, many refuse to give it unto Father and they are the ones listening to, walk after, the ERROR OF BALAAM!

I know for by His grace and mercy He called me out of them lies BY HIS TRUTH ... The Word of life which made me free from the LAW of sin and death!

Behold ... Father is raising up in this hour a people so GIVEN, YIELDED to the Spirit of wisdom and holiness and power of the Christ as to be absorbed therein until it becomes, without our human effort, that we reveal HIM, for HE becomes the manifestation, HE becomes the atmosphere of our living, the sphere of our existence, so that we express only HIM at all times and in all circumstances.

We are being perfected to bear the mark of GOD!

I'm not going to sit here and harp upon all the trash in today's churches! I'm going to tell the Truth that YOU MUST GIVE BIRTH TO THE Christ!

Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1,2
