Quote--->The bible says the earth is 6000 years old. How can this be?

We need to remember the Bible is not a history book. This makes a lot of people uncomfortable as it goes against everything they have been taught, but believing the bible is actually about religion is the modern equivalent of believing the earth is flat.

To understand the symbolic nature of scripture you need to understand the symbolisms of the mystics who wrote it.

Earth - The lower (egoic) mind of man

All numbers in the bible can be reduced to a simplified number.

666 = 6+6+6 = 18 = 1+8 = 9

144000 = 1+4+4 = 9

9 is the number of consciousness in mysticism. In Sanskrit the value of Adam is 9. Throughout the bible the male character represents the mind. This is true for many different cultures and mythologies.

The earth is 6000 years old. 

Meaning..... The (mind) is (6 ages) old.

The six ages in scripture are:   

1) Adam and Eve

2) Flood

3) Abraham

4) King David

5) Babylonian Exile 

6) Christ

7) Second Coming

What is being said is that the mind of man has progressed to the 6th age.

1) Adam and Eve

We are aware of our Mind (Adam) and our Emotions (Eve)

2) Flood (Water - Truth)

We are aware of truth and also falsehood

3) Abraham (the Divine nature active in the soul)

We are aware of the need to be kind to others, to do that which is good.

4) King David (the natural man)

The lower mental and emotional nature which rules over the little-developed qualities of the soul.

5) Babylonian Exile

A symbol to express the banishment, as it were, of the manifesting God, or Self, from the higher planes which are our real home. The ways and things of this world seem to work against you. The ego instinctively rejects the higher nature of the mind.

6) Christ (The perfected lower nature at the end of the cycle)

When we bring the egoic nature under control of our higher mental faculties we become the Christ.

7) Second Coming

A symbol of the completion of the process of purification and development of the souls of humanity, when the lower consciousness rises to union with the higher.

Life is IN the Blood

All GLOW-RAY unto Our Life which is seen by the Light and that Life is LOVE! Religion ...... In my journey the many I've talked to concerning Life .... MOST .... don't read the bible, or even know what their religious group teaches. They just believe that maybe one day they will go to that wonderful mansion in the sky and live next door to Jesus!
