I have never heard any use it in word or a sentence and yet I read it in the bible. "ere" = properly, meaning to glisten. So we would than read "And glisten of the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;" ... 1 Samuel 3:3 So the lamp or fire of God did not go out but the glisten of it did! MY MY MY.... I have trouble trying to find the meaning of "ere" but I think what it is saying is that they were letting the lamp go out at night. HMMMMMMMMmmmmm brings much to hEARt. Bless Father indeed. When He says "...all the earth is mine..." He is proclaiming to be the rightful owner. So now not only does He own the earth but He has within it "a peculiar treasure" that is of greater importance! And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. Ex 19:6 GLORY. His "...peculiar treasure" is NOT gold nor is it silver but it is a KINGDOM OF PRIESTS that is a holy nation that He is King/Lord over! This "...peculiar treasure" He values so much that He has it shut up in the bosom of His heart and soon will expose them so that He will reign over all the EARTH trough them! For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure. Ps 135.4 One does not just say they are in His "...peculiar treasure." Now the earth was cursed but not the man. Oh, by the way, we had better look over here at Timothy 2:11 first, because people say to me, "Adam sinned so how can he be CHRIST who never sinned?" Let the Apostle answer the question for us. Paul is speaking to Timothy his son in the faith, "Let the women learn in silence with all subjection". Hasn’t the church hammered that one. "
