Pet Puppy

So many place themselves under the law by doing works with the attitude that they will gain God’s favor and righteousness. What they many miss is that “the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.”

Yes! The righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets and that was indeed Jesus Christ!

With that in thought; would any teacher of the law have any truth concerning who Jesus Christ is and what His death and resurrection has done?

I say “NO” For the Word of God teaches me so.

This New Covenant that was established by the blood of Christ IS NOT A modification of the Old Covenant.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence “in the flesh.” Philippians 3:3

As ye have therefore received (acknowledgement of the mystery) Christ Jesus the Lord, so “walk ye in him:” Rooted and built up in him, and “stablished in the faith,” as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Colossians 2:6-12

The requirements of the law pointed to the truth that all abide in a body of dust and are but naked before the righteousness of God. The law pointed to that truth and it had no escape from that.

Although, the law had no escape, it did point to the One that was going to come and bring all back unto the Father.

They who see and understand this are they that receive the Word of Truth and they are the one’s that by baptism have gone through the operation of God by being circumcised from the body of the sins of the flesh. This flesh has been taken completely out of the equation for salvation. In reality, it has never been anything more than a necessary evil to bring us to Christ.

Just as the law required one to be circumcised to partake with that Covenant the New also requires one to be circumcised to be ‘stablished in the faith.’

Them that live for the body of sin I ask “Does your faith rest in the operation of God or does your confidence rest in the flesh?

Now many about teach obedience to parts of the law and these ones are nothing more than barking dogs; dragging back the many to the vomit of sins. They love to pull scriptures out of context to try and justify what they teach and yes many sheep follow the wrong shepherd.

One of their pet puppies that they use is found in Romans 3:31

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

Yes indeed out of context it may sound good for them, but in context it shows the truth.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; …. Romans 3:21

BUT NOW! The righteousness of God WITHOUT the law IS MANIFESTED!

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Why was the righteousness of God manifested?

So that “as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12,13

For the Son of God came to remove the “ministration of death” that was “written and engraven in stones” by being our “propitiation for our sins,” “through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins.”

Let the dogs bark out a law that does not bring about the righteousness of God and let the many live unto the flesh thinking they are doing His will.

For "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that EVERY MOUTH may be stopped and ALL THE WORLD may become guilty before God" Romans 3:19
