The Holy Spirit been showing me that understanding is NOT given to the Church as a gift, but it is given to the head of His body. Right now each of us are reading this because we have an understanding of English and writing. A new born baby has no understanding at all and as the baby grows so does its understanding. Just the same with the new born of water and Spirit. The new born must grow up allowing the Spirit of understanding to bring to them the knowledge of the LORD. Now the new born MUST know this Spirit of understanding has nothing to do with the natural, or the carnal mind! “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. When we come to God we come thinking it’s about being good and obeying rules, following some way preached unto us, this is only having king Saul to reign over us. See we want self help so that we can be a head above others, we want blessings so we can be seen as God's favorite child. We even want more head knowledge so when we talk about God to others we can be superior to the others. God does not beat us for this self image but He does allow us to have it so that we see it only of ourselves and NOT of Him. I call it the pat me on the back attitude. It shows and can be heard in our selfish prayers when we cry out "Make me, Lord, be that and this. Here is this person that I am, Lord. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 Many years ago I desired so much to know the will of the Lord for my life. I wondered what ministry he called me to. So I spent many hours studying ministry. I wondered if I was called to convert other religions, so I studied what they taught. I thought I was called to know doctrines, so hours and hours I spent studying doctrines and doctrine against doctrines and doctrines I thought was God's doctrines. As time passed His Word of life never stopped telling me I did not know His will. Romans 12:1,2 For so long I thought it was the reading of the word that would transform me, but when the Spirit of truth shone upon me I see that it is 'presenting' ourselves as a living sacrifice that will transform us. He revealed his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel. Ps. 103:7 Moses left the world (Egypt) and his high position and stepped down to be a servant unto sheep. It is this humbling of oneself that oneself is able to hear from the Father and know what the wayS of the Father is towards His creation. The same applies to the servants of Christ! "And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them."
