Hammered or Beaten work

The lampstand did not need to be beaten to show forth the Light of God. The lampstand took a beating to bring forth Life to all men.

For the beating of the gold points to the sufferings of Christ ...

Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole Roman cohort around Him. They stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. Matthew 27: 26- 30

Just as the gold was pure already He was pure in all His ways. Yet for the sake of humankind He bore much beatings to be the Light of the world, whereby all can receive the Holy Ghost. The Life within Him that came forth to all that receive Him.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:4, 5

The earth worm digs in the dirt and feeds from what it sees not. Just as the unregenerated person feeds upon the world and does not see the true Light of Life. Souls searching not for that what is eternal but for that which is to perish.

Dust to dust.

Looking at what is to perish rather than what is eternal many souls will be what it feeds upon.

For lampstand said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

He is the Light that shows the way to the Father who is Spirit. No man can see the Father but within the lampstand was the Father.

The beaten lampstand took the fate of humankind upon its self to bring forth Life to all.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says,

“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”

And again, “I will put my trust in him.”

And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.  Hebrews 2:9-15

Yes throughout the ages the Light of Life was seen to come and even wise men traveled many miles to find the Saviour of the world.

This salvation was something even the prophets wanted to know more about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you.

They wondered what time or situation the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ’s suffering and his great glory afterward. 1 Peter 1:10, 11
