And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; ... 1 Samuel 3:3 "ere" what a word. I have never heard any use it in word or a sentence and yet I read it in the bible. "ere" = properly, meaning to glisten. So we would than read "And glisten of the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;" ... 1 Samuel 3:3 So the lamp or fire of God did not go out but the glisten of it did! MY MY MY.... I have trouble trying to find the meaning of "ere" but I think what it is saying is that they were letting the lamp go out at night. HMMMMMMMMmmmmm brings much to hEARt.  Lampstand not candlestick. Father is most blessed in that His ways are truly a pathway one can not find by man nor churches. I was looking at Jonathan and Zadok and Father brought me to the lampstand. Now in the KJV it uses candlestick and when you look at its meaning you will find it is NOT candlestick BUT lampstand. When you see this you will understand, for oil was poured into the middle lamp and it fed the other lamps on the stand. A candlestick burns by a wick in wax and therefore no oil is needed. So the use of the word candlestick is miss leading in the KJV. Now back to the lampstand. And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive BEATEN for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. Ex 27:20 BEATEN or "pure." The olives had to be beaten or pressed so that the oil which is pure will come out. Other ways of getting the oil did not get one pure oil. So Father wanted only BEATEN olives for the lamp. Not that I know it all or even walk in it all, but as a maturing son of God, Father is teaching me what the law of Christ is. Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.  Galatians 6:2 First off we must see that both parties are willing to 'carry one another's burdens.' Why? We all are in the body of Christ and as so we are no longer full of pride, or self-exaltation, or self-reliance, for we are all ONE in Him! That is the Christ identity! But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Gal 5:18 YES! They who are one with the Spirit are no longer under the law of SIN and death. Time to see that sin is but the carnal nature that only thinks of itself, for itself and to please itself. Christ Jesus redeemed us from that law of SIN and death, by laying down His immortality and allowing mortality to have its way.
