Sign
Here in America while driving I have to pay close attention to all the different signs I encounter. There are speed signs, stop signs, playground signs, school signs and many others. We live in a time when signs either tell us what to do or tell us what not to do.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
The Lord Himself gave us a sign. Yes, some will say the virgin is a sign, others will say the virgin conceiving. But let me tell you the sign is "Immanuel" GOD WITH US.
YES THE PRESENCES OF GOD WITH US IS THE SIGN.
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matt 1:23-25
Jesus was and is the awesome sign of GOD WITH US!
Now as I described the different signs I encounter while driving, we MUST look at the sign of why God's Son, Jesus the Christ was born into this world!
Now it was not the baby born in a stable, nor the turning water into wine, nor the many healed, nor the death and resurrection of the Son that was the sign!
The sign was pointing the way to something as great as "Immanuel" GOD WITH US.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ... John 1:12
COME ON SAINTS. The sons of God IS "Immanuel" GOD WITH US. See Jesus the Christ came forth into this world to redeem unto Himself SONS!
Ohhhhhhh some will say Christians and others will say Church. But NONE OF THAT WAS THE SIGN!
Yes, there were many signs but what was THE sign!
Always recall Jesus the Christ was God's PATTERN SON!!!
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. Exodus 19:6
The children called out of Egypt were called to be "a kingdom of priests", and an holy nation" unto the Lord.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:9,10
It is the same plan/purpose the Lord has with His New Testament calling.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 1:6
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev 5:10
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Rev 20:6
Jesus Christ is the sign that points to that great thing which God is doing in the earth, the MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD!
Here am I and the children whom the LORD has given me! (Heb 2:13) We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the LORD of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion. Isa 8:18
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and SIGNified it by his angel unto his servant John: ... Rev 1:1
See Jesus the Christ is the sign and all shall see the sign in His called out sons, born again by the word and Spirit!
Ohhhhhhhhhh I know many will have their sins washed away and shall be saved, but the sonship is the High Calling, the overcomers who come out from the lies of MYSTERY BABYLON to be seated IN Christ!
And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
And he (Moses) said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that SING do I hear. And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:) Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi (PRIESTHOOD) gathered themselves together unto him. Exodus 32:5,6,18,19,25,26
(Jesus speaking unto the Church of the Laodiceans) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: ... Rev 3:17
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Rev 16:15
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, WILL of God. Romans 12:1,2
