Blessing Before the Giving

"For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and BLESSED HIM; to whom also Abraham GAVE A TENTH PART OF ALL; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is King of peace" Hebrews 7:1-2

The blessing before the giving of Abraham.

The priesthood of Aaron administered the LAW, whereas the priesthood of Melchizedek ministered BLESSING.

hmmmmmm for the law came 100s of years after Melchizedek and Abraham meeting.

Melchizedek blessed Abraham because He had the PROMISES. We can see the 7 promises in Genesis 12:2,3

1) "I will make of thee a great nation."
2) "I will bless thee."
3) "I will make thy name great."
4) "Thou shalt be a blessing."
5) "And I will bless them that bless thee."
6) "I will curse him that curseth thee."
7) "In thee shall ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED."

Just as the web is almost world wide the promises to Abraham shall be.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; BUT AS OF ONE, And to thy seed, WHICH IS CHRIST. Galatians 3:16

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29

And the word became flesh ... eat of this manna ... COMMUNION.

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 6:13-20

Again looking at the promises given unto Abraham do we see the SEED? WHICH IS CHRIST. Galatians 3:16

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal
3:29

The first preacher preaching a promises unto a man named Abraham ---->Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL UNTO Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Galatians 3:6-8

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1:1-4
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Galatians 3:7

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For the body is not one member, but many. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

They that are of faith are blessed to be a blessing! For they have BECOME the image of Him that through them all nations shall be blessed!
