Knowledge of Good and Evil

Without the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Adam would have never seen His need for Life!

See Adam was As Paul said “....subject to vanity,” Romans 8:20

How some may wonder?

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

First off Adam was formed of the dust of the ground! Dust is the substance of a grave! It has no value and it can not hold water.

It just muddles the water!

See ‘dust’ is of the ground and is a part of the earth’s surface. It has no life nor can it substance life, for there is no value in dust!

Dust can not contain water, but dust can be removed by water.

Adam was but the dust of the ground.

The second issue we see when looking at Adam is that he was “naked.”

Yes! Adam was naked from the day that God formed him and by being naked it shows that Adam needed a covering for his nakedness!

The covering was not clothes as we think but a covering of Life!

It was by clothing Adam with skins, that showed Adam he needed another covering not of his kind ....  
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

The very tree of the knowledge of good and evil was but a tree that pointed Adam to the tree of Life that was to come.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 1 Peter 1:18-21

This tree of life would bring to Adam the needed water to refresh Him and bring forth the fruit of the Spirit within his garden. This tree of Life would be Adam’s covering, for Adam can stand in the righteousness of one worthy to be righteous.

Today's Adams are they that need to be born again of “water” and “Spirit” for without that new birth, Adam is but the dust of the earth.
