Passover Lamb

Now the LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month is the beginning of months for you; it shall be the first month (new birth) of your year.

Tell the whole congregation of Israel that on the tenth day (wholeness) of this month each man must select a lamb for his family, one per household. If the household is too small for a whole lamb, they are to share with the nearest neighbor based on the number of people, and apportion the lamb accordingly.

Your lamb must be an unblemished year-old MALE (Christ), and you may take it from the sheep or the goats. You must keep it until the fourteenth day (double measure of spiritual perfection) of the month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel will slaughter the animals at twilight (between daytime and the darkness). They are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

They are to eat the meat that night, roasted over the fire, along with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Do not eat any of the meat raw or cooked in boiling water, but only roasted over the fire—its head and legs and inner parts. Do not leave any of it until morning; before the morning you must burn up any part that is left over.

This is how you are to eat it: You must be fully dressed for travel (bride), with your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. You are to eat in haste; it is the LORD’s Passover.

On that night (darkness ignorance) I will pass through the land of Egypt (world) and strike down every firstborn male, both man and beast, and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. The blood on the houses where you are staying will distinguish them; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will fall on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:1-12

Bless the Father who guides us in His Truth.

I tell you there is so much to glean from this that time and space has some limits right now. What I want to share is what Father has taught me in that the passover Lamb was eaten the night that death came to every first born. (pssssst If you think this is not a spiritual teaching then ask yourself why Pharaoh was not taken for he was the first born).

Now we must see they were told to EAT the Lamb and that Lamb you can hEAR in John 6--->Then Jesus (Lamb of God) said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. v53

Now who is the first born that death took?

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

YES! The first born was man and by man, death was passed upon ALL.

"...For since by man came death, ..." 1 Corinthians 15"21

They who ate the passover lamb did not have to die, just as they who eat the Lamb of God will NOT die. Though death is still active upon this world, we must see that our OLD MAN is DEAD because we are partakers with Christ!

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Romans 6:3

We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans 6:6

YES ... YES .... YES! Our body of sin has been rendered powerless that we should NOT be slaves to IT (sin).

See our body is sin for it misses the mark (image of the first CREATED man). During the early olympics when a archer missed the bullseye the crowd would say 'SIN' See sin is to miss the mark and our body of death misses the mark for the mark is LIFE!

So when death took the first born it is the same as saying 'For the wages of SIN is death!' Notice now it says SIN, NOT SINS as in many, but SIN!

If I serve my body of death I will reap the wage which IS DEATH. When I see that I have been baptized INTO Christ and that my body of sin is DEAD I can serve Him who is Life Eternal.

The first born in Egypt that did not partake with the Lamb died just as those today who do not partake with the Lamb SHALL DIE!

Time we must see our body of sin rendered powerless and that the power we live by is Him who sits upon the throne of our hEARt!

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:7
