In Christ

A thought so profound that the mind can draw blanks unless the answer is given by Him who is .....“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?” Matthew 16; 13-15

Such a sweet echo of Truth that from time beginning is still heard by them that have ears to hear ---->“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” John 17:51

Even the Apostle Paul kept his hearing open when by the pen of his heart he wrote ---->“That I may KNOW HIM, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” Philippians 3:10

Such glory to be heard when one's ear is opened to what saith the Lord rather than what man teaches concerning the "Son of man."

“Through faith we understand (seemingly a general consensus that needs no further debate) that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3

“By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth, for he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 33:6,9

“For of him (or out of him) and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 11:36

All God does involves His Word, His "Creative Word."

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” John 1:1,3-4

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

"...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?..."

And he (Jesus the Christ) said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. John 8:23

“The first man (Adam) is of the earth, earthy: the second man IS THE LORD from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15:47

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God (the WORD of John’s gospel) was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

This speaks of none other than the man Christ Jesus!

Let truth be known; No other man lived life exactly like the scripture said but the Son of man.

“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will O God.” Hebrews 10:7

“How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

God appointed this man to be heir of all things ---->“by whom also he made the worlds; who being in the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:2-4

This man Jesus the Christ is the ONLY WAY to the Father!

“Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:8-12

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:8-11

Words of Who He is is limited to me a man but I know what His Word says Who He is and by His Spirit I see the light of His Word.

“And ever priest standeth daily ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man (Jesus Christ) after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down ON the right hand of God; From henceforth (right where he is) expecting till all his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them who are sanctified.” Hebrews 10:11-14

Such glory to hear and behold!

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down ON the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:3,4
10:26

“Know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (WHY?) For he that is dead is freed from sin.” Romans 6:3-7

Yes by the death and resurrection of the Son of man any immersed in Him are one with Him!

For by one Spirit are we all baptized (immersed) into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13

The Apostle Paul had the oneness of Truth within when he by the Holy Spirit penned ---->“I am crucified WITH CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet NOT I but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME (or instead of me.) and the life which I now live IN THE FLESH (Don’t let that slip from your mind. It is the life that Paul lived IN THE FLESH) I live by the faith (and faith is substance-Hebrews 11:1) of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Such knowledge of Christ was alive within the Apostle Paul that he knew this one who was the Son of man.

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the WORLD IS CRUCIFIED UNTO ME, and I UNTO THE WORLD.” Galatians 6:14

GLORY TO GOD, the revelation of the Apostle Paul being crucified WITH CHRIST sent him into a distant heavenly realm and had him say---->“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, (but more than that) and do count them but dung (filth) that I may win Christ.” Philippians 3:7,8

Do we today have a clue of the kind of sacrifice and total surrender to the dictates of Jesus Christ that Paul left for us on the record. Understand that the Apostle Paul was not languishing in total remorse over all that he lost when Jesus Christ called him into the ministry on a dusty Damascus road. Not only did he lose all that was gain to him in his previous life; he counted them as filth!

No wonder the Apostle Paul said---->Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1

For the Apostle Paul and the other Apostles knew that Jesus the Christ left us an example, that we should follow his steps (1 Peter 2:21).

For many years I saw and said "IN CHRIST," "IN CHRIST!" For as Holy Spirit showed me I started to see what it means to be "IN CHRIST." (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:2; Ephesians 1:10; 2:10 )

See to be "IN CHRIST" is how God brought us back unto Himself!

Ohhhhhhhh such glory to be hold when one sees that the prodigal son NEVER lost his sonship. Come one sons of God! When did the Father EVER NOT call him "son?"

Why do we allow religious lies to take away our sonship when the Father has NEVER revoked it from us!

Bless the living God who has called us sons from the day we as sheep left the fold.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. 1 Peter 2:25

WHY?

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:21-24

Such blessed Truth to behold when one's eyes are open to this living Word!

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God WAS IN Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not IMPUTING (to take into account, to make an account of) their trespasses (a sin, misdeed) UNTO THEM; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made HIM TO BE SIN FOR US, who knew no sin; that we might be MADE the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:16-21

G L O R Y!

Before I close off I want to look at this verses and it's fullfillment---->Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:51-58

So when did Abraham see Christ day?

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. Genesis 14: 18-20.

Now let us advance forward with the word 'tithing' in the New Testament, and see Levi who happened to be a grandson of Abraham who lived 400 years after Abraham---->“And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father (at least 400 years before his birth) when Melchisedec (New Testament spelling) met him.” Hebrews 7:9,10

Such depth to behold ....  Levi was in the loins of his grandfather centuries before his actual birth, when tithes were paid by Abraham, Levi did too.

Now let us look at this depth in the light of the New Testament----“For we are his workmanship, created IN CHRIST unto good works, which God hath before (before the foundation of the world) ordained that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10

Ohhhhh to behold such Truth that God God us IN CHRIST JESUS and we are called “His workmanship” or his handy work.

When Jesus the Christ came into being, we came into being also and are being presented to the world as God’s workmanship.

ONENESS with Him and IN Him!

The "Word" that was with God and WAS God; that came to earth as God’s visible expression, are we not part of the same? (The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, or tabernacle in use.)

Let us look at what the Holy Spirit said through the Apostle John---->That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:1-3

“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:11,12

Yes the Truth of oneness with God was given unto the Apostle Paul by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Can we say this be the Divine Reproduction of God by His Word for this world?

“For whom he did foreknow (before we were born) he also did predestinate to be conformed (pattern after—made like unto) to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29

Does being "crucified with Christ" bring about the Truth that before time, before the beginning we were IN CHRIST?
