This Plan of Salvation
Such beauty to behold ---->The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, BEHOLD, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: SO HE MADE IT AGAIN another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Jeremiah 18:1-4
The Lord could have spoken to the Prophet but it was the seeing that made the Word of the Lord living ---->Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see (behold) the kingdom of God. John 3:3
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6
Sonship begins in the potter's hands and it is His work to form His sons into a vessel that is good to the potter.
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:4-6
The clay in the potter's hands is nothing but a chunk of dirt and lets be mindful the chunk of dirt has no say only what the will of the Potter's hands has the say. Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? Romans 9:20,21
I chuckle when I hear someone tell me they found Jesus. Many times I ask them where He was hiding that they found Him. When I say I chuckle, I chuckle in that the Father calls and the Father does as He wills for them.
This plan of salvation is His and His alone.
There is nothing that we do to be saved and if you say there is hmmmmmmm you ought to look at your plan and compare it to the plan of God! For the potter has two plans that His hands form.
What if God, willing to shew his WRATH, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of WRATH FITTED TO DESTRUCTION: AND that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of MERCY, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Romans 9:22,23
Do we see how the people of this world are made?
Some are born to be vessels of honor and others are born to be vessels of dishonor. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 2 Timothy 2:20
It is the potters doing that makes the vessel what it is ......
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9 Before I came into this world the potter placed me into the place that would form me to be His son. For "...all things are of God...."
Again let us look back at what the potter gave unto the Prophet "... So he made it again another vessel, as SEEMED GOOD TO THE POTTER TO MAKE IT ...."
What must we do to be saved hehe how about realizing what the potter does so that we be vessels of honour in His household. Are we not told, "It is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jeremiah 10:23. OR "The Lord hath made ALL THINGS FOR HIMSELF: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." Proverbs 16:4
Once again let us behold the Potter’s own words: "Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together." Isaiah 48:13
