The Potter at work with His creation

The Apostle Paul said the Old Testament (OT) was ".... written for our admonition ....". So let us look at the Potter at work. What we will see is that just about all of the Old Testament (OT) events are meant to be guidelines and examples for us to follow. Some examples that are for good, those we should follow. Other examples that showed evil, disobedience, rebellion and such the like, those we do not follow.

The Old Testament can be seen as a classroom from which we never graduate, because knowledge and growth have no boundaries for each lesson makes us ready for the next lesson.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Corinthians 10:11

In the Potter's hand begins the process of the raw material which are broken, molded and shaped into vessels of the Potter’s choosing. The Old Testament (OT) shows us the activity of the raw material and how the Potter went about His business forming the clay to be Vessels of honour and vessels of dishonour.

When we look at Moses we see the birth of one chosen to be a vessel in the Potter's hand. When Moses was born into the world Pharaoh had already command that every boy child should be killed, and a girl should be allowed to live. So we can see Moses, at his birth, was already walking through the doors into the potter’s house, where he would be burned and shape into a majestic vessel in the hand of the Lord.

“In which time was Moses born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house 'three' months. And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and in deeds.” Acts 7:20-22

Let us see that from the get go God had one in the house of Pharaoh!

Ahhhhhhh but the Potter's hand at work upon Moses. Yes! Moses one raised in the customs and ways of the Egyptians had a pulling in heart that he was different. He was something other then an Egyptian! This was the call God had placed within Moses and nothing about him could take him from the Potter's hands!

We see that Moses rose up and killed an Egyptian and as so had to flee for his life. Sure sounds like the word the Prophet Jeremiah spoke by the Holy Spirit said ---->“And the vessel that he made was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” Jeremiah 18:4

I to came forth from another and was but a marred vessel but the Potter in His grace, mercy and love made me again!

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23

Many times I have stumbled and fell. Many times my words and actions were but of evil. Walking in the ways of the world as I saw and living after the desires of my flesh. However! I believe that whatsoever the circumstances are that have brought me to the end of my wits, or to your wits end, we have a faithful Potter who will design and create of us ANOTHER VESSEL that He deemed good to make it. Even the Apostle Peter asked this question: “If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

HERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS!
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as UNTO A FAITHFUL CREATOR.” 1 Peter 4:18,19

Now e can assume that Moses became a marred vessel when he killed an Egyptian and had to flee to the desert. Let me say before carrying on .... NONE.... YES NONE of these events were accidents in the grand scheme of things. (Psalm 139:7-16)

It was in the wasteland that the Potter began the second phase of breaking, emptying, scrubbing away all that Moses accumulated in Egypt. For Moses learned every aspect of Egyptian life: its culture, its science, its secrets and the inner workings that made him great. However! The Potter's hands went to work in and upon Moses in stripping away his pride, selfishness and dependence upon his own doing.

Does that sound like the Potter's hands at work within and upon your life?

The work of the Potter even took away Moses ability to speak! Now we must NOT think of speaking as a tongue action but more a heart action.

“Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.  Matthew 15:17,18

Yes! Moses could speak well as an Egyptian and it was the Potter that formed the vessel to be a speaker on behalf of Him!

(Moses) “was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was MIGHTY IN WORDS AND IN DEEDS.” Acts 7:22

When God set before Moses his calling it was but Moses who said ---->“And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” Exodus 4:10

God as the Potter and Master planner had no part in Moses words but spoke His Words unto Moses to let him know who was the Potter ---->“Who hath made man’s mouth? Or who maketh the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the Lord. Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” Exodus 4:10-12

Such glory to behold and so much more for me for I had experienced these verses in a deep way 30+ years ago while in deeper prayer with the Lord! Let me say ...."whatever God calls you to do, He will equip you with the tools that you require to get the job done." AMEN!

Such GLORY to behold, Moses lost the magical charms of Egypt, and although he was a man mighty in words and in deeds, God made sure that he was emptied of all.

YES! God has his own language (creative words) for us to speak.

Even the Apostle Paul with his encounter with the Lord had this to say about the Poetter's hands ---->“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may WIN CHRIST.” Philippians 3:8,9

Yes the Apostle Paul came with a new language .... the language of God!

Before finishing this off I like for us to look at the deed of the Potter's hand upon Moses ---->“Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.” Numbers 12:3

MEEK .... MY MY MY! What do we learn of the meek from the Lord Jesus?

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

YES the very Truth, the language Psalmist David learned ---->“For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalm 37:10,11

Ohhhhhhhhh in this world of evil and self righteousness, man and religion teach that one in his pride needs to be the horse that pulls the cart! Ohhhhhhhhhh how the many lose the teaching of the patter Son when He said ----> “Take my yoke upon you, (as seen in the mule or horse pulling a cart or buggy) and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29,30

Let this song sing from your spirit in deed and truth!

“Leave it there, leave it there.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, he will truly bring you out;
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.”

As the Word teaches us ---->“Humble yourselves therefore under the MIGHTY HAND OF God, that he may exalt you in due time: CASTING ALL YOUR CARES "UPON" HIM; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:6,7

You do not get chapattis without first combine the ingredients!!!!! And we as chapattis are being baked into perfection at the potter’s house, should learn or know that we cannot sabotage or hinder the purifying process. For God’s fire is meant to burn away the chaff that enfolds us as a protective shield that protects and nourishes the golden grains that will one day come into full view to be admired and cherished by all.

For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

YES! Not only were we chosen in him before the foundation of the world, the process that is required to bring us from being new born babes in Christ to fully grown men and women were also put in place.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine (why doctrine? (Tell me what a man believes, and I will tell you what he is capable of doing) for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly FURNISHED unto all good works.: 2nd Timothy 3:16,17

Such glory to behold that God DOES NOT leave us to our own devices! But He gives unto us His Word and Power to become His sons by His doing and not ours!

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:4

For Christ is now the Captain of our salvation, the Chief Apostle and the Bishop of our souls!

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. 1 Peter 2:25

What we as sons of God need to see that God, through Christ has established His kingdom in our hearts, and in due time that kingdom shall envelop all of creation (all created life); For we as the many other sons are waiting for the adoption THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY. Romans 8:22, 23
