Change of Mind

 The Prodigal son ..... The irony of it!

Sitting here listening to the Holy Spirit the prodigal son comes to my hEARt. See, so many use him as an example of how one who was saved returns back home after being back slidden. Ohhhhhhh the irony of it indeed.

Let us first look at the son who did not leave the Father's house. But the 'good' son! Ahhhhhhh yes we are going to look at this 'good' son through the eye of the Spirit and undersand it by seeing the mind of the knowledge of good and evil at work within the good son.

When the prodigal son came home the son that never left said unto the Father in a nut shell "I am your deserving son who stayed home and obeyed all of your commands, but you never gave me the royal treatment you lavished on your undeserving younger son. You should have made him pay for his shameful misconduct before letting him into our home."

MY ... MY .... MY! How the knowledge of good and evil is on display here. For the son that stayed home was in a way presenting what he did as WORKS. Works that stem from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The older son was NOT aware of a Father WHO IS LOVE! YES! The older son was in a way MAD that the Father was a Father of love who forgave the younger son of his deeds!

GRACE AND TRUTH is abounding GREATLY in the younger son and the older son is mad!

MY .... MY ... MY! My hEARt grieves for I know I was but an older son many times, mad at God who is but a God of LOVE, MERCY AND COMPASSION!

See the younger son has a mind change and he starts to think within himself "...Finally he came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have plenty of food? But here I am, starving to death! I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” 

FOOD ..... FOOD! It is not body food but the food of the knowledge of God that the son was starving for! His mind was only feeding upon the filth of the knowledge of good and evil and he so much wanted more ..... MUCH MORE!

Look Jesus the Christ said it ..... NOT I "...“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger,... ."

Who do you think is the Father's house? And where is the only bread of life that one needs?"

YES THE HEART of the individual is the Father's house and in one's heart is the need for the bread of life!

Now don't think any that say a prayer or get baptized or even confess that Jesus is their saviour is the Father's house. I tell you ALL is the Father's house and soon the Father will be at home IN ALL when ALL come to know the TRUTH!

Now we must see the son who stayed home is but the son who did NOT know who his Father was and yet he proclaimed to be at HOME! The one that proclaims to be a child of God, but is eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is but the older son who refused to go into the Father's house. The Father comes OUT TO HIM, just as the many of us the Father comes out of the light into our darkness to shine His Word of life which in turn shows us the way BACK TO HIM!

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6

This older son thinking was based up his knowledge that his Father is both good and evil. AND I tell you when you look at the younger son you find GRACE AND TRUTH so deep that the younger son truly has a experience with WHO THE FATHER IS.

So the younger son gets up and goes to his father, but while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with *compassion*. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. The son declared, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was *dead* and is *alive again*! He was *lost* and is *found*!’ So they began to celebrate.

How we must eat the Word of life to see and to see is to know that before the younger son comes home the Father see him as the Father is "...filled with compassion". SO much full of compassion that He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him!

GLORY ... It was you and I that left the Father's house not the Father leaving us as MYSTERY, BABYLON likes to teach.

For the Father sees His son and the Father RAN out to him and not only did the Father run out to him the Father EMBRACED him AND KISSED him.

It is when one repents from the Adam mind and puts on the mind of Christ, the Word of life that that one will see how COMPASSIONATE the Father IS!

"...The Lord is full of compassion and mercy." James 5:11

Let us see that compassion means = to love, love deeply, have mercy, be compassionate, have tender affection, have compassion.

Ask yourself this question "How does one know the compassion of the Lord?" and the answer you will get back is that one needs to have a NEED to know His compassion, and we as mortal beings have fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of His compassion so that we can be one again with Him!

YES! For the younger son's trip out in the world brought him home to COMPASSION! Just as we have been brought home by His compassion that was seen in His Son Jesus the Christ.

Now we must know that grace without truth is as the light without heat!

Yes ... the younger son experienced His Father's grace but truth was needed to show the son that the Father IS LOVE.

The Father proclaims "Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let us feast and celebrate." SUCH GLORY TO BEHOLD IN THIS. The FATTENED CALF IS BUT THE WORD OF LIFE! IT IS TRUTH FOR ONE TO FEAST UPON AND KNOW GOD IS LOVE! It is His celebration of love we are called to!

Come on now, do you not see this in the good son when he said to the Father " ‘Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.'

YES! The older son did not have the TRUTH abiding in him for he was mad that the younger son received the fattened calf and he never in all the years of serving the Father received a fattened calf. Do you notice the older son's mind set, in that he said to the Father "...Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours." YES. Years and years of SERVING the Father BUT never knowing for in servant hood the older son had NOT experienced the compassion of His Father for the older son was but GOOD in his doings with the Father!

IF! and I truly say this "If the older son had seen his deeds were but filthy rags and he was in need of a gift of life he would have stopped fellowshiping with the carnal mind and came to know, to understand, God IS love! For the sons of God are not the servants of God --->No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. John 15:15

YES! GRACE AND TRUTH WAS IN the Son of God and the Son of God will and desires is for us TO KNOW THIS!

Time we have a change of mind and take up the free gift of salvation and put on the mind of Christ, for only with that mind will we ever be made free from sin and death!
