O Jerusalem

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:1-2

Two groups of people?

O Zion ... O Jerusalem?

O Zion ... Put on thy strength.

O Jerusalem ... Put on thy beautiful garments.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

O Zion ... loose thyself from the bands of thy neck.

O Jerusalem ... Shake thyself from the dust.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So king David says, "My soul cleaveth to the dust," and the Prophet Isaiah says, "Shake thyself from the dust."

One tells us what we are by nature; the other what we ought to do by the grace of Father.

In this world and in any nation dust is the most worthless thing possible. Dust defiles those that have to do with it; Dust blinds the eyes of those that stir it up. Dust is but the cares and the pleasures of this world.

Here today gone tomorrow.

O Jerusalem SHAKE THYSELF FROM THE DUST. in the book of Revelation, chapter 2 & 3 the one that overcomes is the one that shakes themselves from the dust. Look and see that the 7 churches only feed from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The overcomer is promised the tree of life!

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Rev 2:7

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is but dust over the mind that has left its first estate to become fleshly (carnal).

To shake thy self from the dust is to DIE TO I and allow the true life to live out of you!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20

O Jerusalem hEAR the Word of the LORD .... Shake yourself from the dust and stand before me in your true garments which is CHRIST!

When Jerusalem has shaken herself from the dust she shall "arise, and sit down."

Yes she shall arise from the carnal mind to her true mind which is the mind of Christ and she shall cease from her doings to rest in His finished work!

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen 2:1-3

O Jerusalem, Zion HAS come unto thee as the mighty ones in the strength of Him proclaiming your freedom is only IN HIM!

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Oba 1:17
